Greenwood Music sets up and delivers bespoke workshops tailored to the needs of the individuals. Each workshop will enable individuals to experience and learn a range of skills including environmental awareness, sustainable woodland management and traditional rural skills and music composition skills.
Participants will make xylophones and other musical instruments, using traditional green woodwork techniques and traditional hand tools, in a safe and secure environment, under the guidance of a fully qualified and experienced tutor. Once the instruments are complete, the group will take part in a simple music composition workshop, which will be recorded and a copy given to each of the participants as a lasting memory, along with the instruments they have made.
The duration of the course will vary depending on the group and can range between one to three consecutive days.
